About Dr. Rex Painter

Rex Painter earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from California State University at Los Angeles and attended the Medical College of Virginia of Virginia Commonwealth University to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He then completed a General Practice Residency at Shands Hospital through the University of Florida.

To stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the dental field, Dr. Painter holds memberships with many prestigious professional organizations, including American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, St. Augustine Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry and Association of U.S. Military Surgeons.

Dr. Painter likes giving back to the community, and 1st City Dental is involved with charitable organizations both locally and internationally. Locally, the office is involved with the Alpha Omega home. The dental team serves humanitarian missions abroad, specifically in Romania and Haiti within the last year. Dr. Painter also volunteers with Homeport Christian Church and in Medical Evangelism.

Away from the office, Dr. Painter serves with the Florida Army National Guard. He is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
